Who is Tante Tom anyway? Your chef Thomas Bekermann

Behind Tante Tom is Thomas Bekermann, who grew up in Nortrup and was born with a passion for cooking.
However, Thomas Bekermann was not only interested in cooking, he was also interested in people and nutrition, and as a dietician he sought the challenge of how to eat healthily yet still be able to enjoy everything. In the meantime, he has become a chef and has ‘inhaled the breeze’ in many different kitchens, from Norddeich to Munich. Most recently he worked at the Advena Hotel Hohenzollern in Osnabrück.
Today he is Tante Tom in Quakenbrück. The name of the restaurant is linked in a symbiotic way with Thomas Bekermann. He wants his guests to feel comfortable, knows what children like, treats his guests affectionately and always has an open ear and provides sound advice on how ‘aunties’ (Tanten) really are. Tom is clear. It stands for Thomas, who acts out his creativity when cooking and surprises his guests again and again with amazing compositions. Cooking is pure passion for the kitchen master and the kitchen is his workshop where he always conjures up new delicacies with intuition and skill, which can be accompanied by a drop of fine wine. Tom cares deeply about healthy, nutritious and regional cuisine and when his guests enjoy it, he is happy and his eyes light up - the eyes of Tante Tom.
